The Science and Future of Meat and Meat Alternatives

Details
There has been a lot of discussion and advances in the area of meat and meat alternatives for human consumption in recent years.
How much do you know about the ethical, economic, environmental, health and flavour aspects of traditional animal based meats, non-traditional animal based meats (including insect based products), non-animal grown meats (including plants and fungi), and lab grown meats?
Join us as we will first survey our group on our existing group knowledge of these topics and then provide some of the latest scientific research on meat and meat alternatives.
We will use this research as a stepping off point for a group discussion on the topics. For this we need you to come prepared and informed so that our discussion has...well...meat!
Finally we will then survey our group again to see if our attitudes have changed when armed with the latest evidence!
Should be a very interesting "MeatUp" (with at least some poor tasting artificial humour!) so come along and find out more!
As always its on every last Tuesday of the month, upstairs at Flaming Frango (55 Elgin Street, Soho, Central).
We meet around 7pm to chat, eat, and drink, then begin the event around 8pm for about an hour, with plenty of time for socialising afterwards.
Don't forget to sign up now for the MeetUp now, so we know what numbers to expect!
