## About

Wonderful Sketchies,

Having an online meetup is probably the best thing after ice-cream. Since we loved hosting the first one, we are doing it again. This time we are bringing you a new Sketch feature, Assistants.

This meetup will be revolving around making your workflow easier, keeping your files pristine, and your day the best it can be! We will also hear first hand from the amazing Andrej Bodrusic about what soft skills are, and which ones are important for designers.

The meetup will be held on 16.09.2020. at your home, 18:00 CEST, and the link will be added beforehand.
Prepare some ice-cream and questions!

Talk to you soon :)

Talk #1
Helena Bukovac - Design Team Lead at Emondo design
Sketch Assistants šŸ›Ž

Helena specializes in UX / UI design through which she helps build digital products in the commercial, financial, and education industries. She leads a design team in the creative agency Emondo design. The knowledge she gains working on different projects, she transfers to her students at Algebra University College, as well as to her students at online design education platforms Springboard and Designlab. If all that wasn’t already enough, she is also a cheerful Sketch Ambassador that organizes these lovely meetups which bring happy people together.

Sketch has recently released Assistants, a new way to automatically spot issues with your documents, stay consistent with design systems, prepare your files for collaboration, and follow your team’s rules.

In this talk, we'll explore:

  • What are Assistants?
  • How to use them?
  • Which Assistants are available right now?
  • How to make your own custom assistants?
  • The sky is the limit here! āœˆļøšŸ›Ž

Talk #2
Andrej BodruÅ”ić - Product Designer at Infobip
Soft skills for designers

Andrej is a curious person split between 2 opposing sides. One is that of storytelling and creativity, the other is of logical challenges and calculated precision. Having experience in the gaming industry, various creative agencies, as well as enterprise product design, he learned a lot. But mostly, he learned a lot about people.

Soft skills are important in every area of life, but they hold a special function in design. Designing for people, by people, is exactly that. Everything is human interaction. Pixels on the screen are just vessels for real human needs, problems, and challenges. The conversation is only the beginning. Learning how to really listen and understand people is the key to successful problem-solving.
