Sketching at the Starbucks Plaza in Downtown Palm springs

Come sketch at the plaza at the corner of Palm Canyon and Tahquitz near the Starbucks Reserve. Meet at the red PS I Love You Sign near the Kimpton Hotel at 9 am. I will be there with my beige straw hat and a sketchbook. There will be some time for introductions, questions, and discussion and then about 45 minutes for sketching, with a final get together to show our sketches and talk about our drawing experience. Bring whatever drawing tools you like to use and something to draw on. If you want to use color, bring colored pencils, markers, or watercolors. No need to make a masterpiece. The purpose of urban sketching is to see the world and draw it in your own style.
The plaza is a great place to sketch. It is surrounded by interesting buildings, views of palm trees and the mountain, people coming and going, people sitting at tables and on benches, road traffic, and all the things that happen in a busy downtown.
