Sketch at Ruth Hardy Park in Palm Springs

Come sketch at Ruth Hardy Park in Palm Springs. There is a free parking lot on Miraleste just north of the tennis courts. Meet in the parking lot at 10 am. I will be there with my straw hat and a sketchbook. We will meet up for 10 minutes and then go off to draw and have a final get together at noon to show our sketches and talk about our drawing experience.

Ruth Hardy Park has lawns and trees and there are mountain views. The adjacent streets have houses. The Wellness Park on the north side of the parking lot offers shady walkways with native plants. To the south of the parking lot are grass lawns with mountain views. It is a favorite spot for dog walkers, yoga classes, and others to enjoy the outdoors. There is lots to draw. There are some benches and picnic tables on which to sit and draw. If you want to be more portable you may bring a folding chair or stool or a blanket to sit on the grass.
