Details

Come sketch at Temple Isaiah, a modernist gem in Palm Springs. The structure was designed in 1947 by E. Stewart Williams as the modernist Al Liberman Chapel before it was expanded with a west-facing addition in 1982 by architect David Christian to meet the needs of the growing congregation.

There is a parking lot. Bring a stool so you have a place to sit.

Meet near the entrance at 332 W Alejo Rd, Palm Springs at 10 am.

First time joining us? What you need to know:
All are welcome. It can be your first time sketching or your thousandth time. No judgments. The point is to practice seeing the world and drawing it. Any portable materials are fine. You can use just a pencil and paper and you can use markers, crayons, or color pencil if you want to use color. Many of the sketchers use ink and watercolors. Bring whatever you have or want to try. Other sketchers will be happy to show you their sketching kit. Bring a hat and drinking water for your comfort. A portable stool or chair can be helpful. We meet for a few minutes at the beginning, then split up to draw what interests us and then meet again at the end to share our drawings and debrief.
