Details
Come sketch at Frances Stevens Park, 538 N Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs. The Park is on the corner of Palm Canyon and Alejo and includes a lawn, mature trees, and a kinetic fountain. It is also adjacent to the Palm Canyon Theatre and Desert Art Center Spanish style buildings. The park is at a busy intersection with the Koffi courtyard across Palm Canyon, the new Thompson Hotel across Alejo, and Spanish style condos and boutique hotels across Indian Canyon so there is lots to draw.
There is street parking along Palm Canyon and Indian Canyon but note that the public parking lot on the west side of Palm Canyon on Alejo is closed for repairs. There are shady spots to be found. A stool is recommended so you can sit in a comfortable spot.
Meet at the fountain at the park at 10 am. I will be there with my beige straw hat and a sketchbook.
