Mid-Century Architecture Sketch Walk in the Twin Palms Neighborhood
Details
Come sketch mid-century homes in the Twin Palms neighborhood in Palm Springs. Designed by William Krisel in 1956 and developed from 1957-58, Twin Palms Estates was Coachella Valley’s first Alexander Construction Company subdivision. Twin Palms Estates features homes with varying facades, roof lines and plan-rotation on large lots, and each home came standard with two palms, hence the name Twin Palms. Several of the homes feature the iconic butterfly roof line.
Meet at the corner of South Camino Real and East Twin Palms Drive. The neighborhood encompasses several blocks so there will be some walking involved. I will have some paper maps so you can find your way around. A stool is recommended.
