Sketchbook: V&A Sculpture Room

Lets sketch in the sculpture room at the V&A South Kensington

I love this set of rooms, there's tonnes of amazing sculptures here. Sculptures act as such effective life drawing models cus they don't move! If anyone wishes to sketch any other part of the museum they are of course welcome to.

We will meet outside the main entrance on Cromwell Road at 11am, I'll wait for about 15 minutes and then we will head in to the sculpture room together. Afterwards we can then meet back there at 1pm and maybe sit in the courtyard and compare drawings!

Completely free of charge, no need to sign up, bring a friend. Feel free to drop in for the whole two hours or just short while if you'd prefer. Look for the tall ginger fella with a sketchbook as an indicator of the meetup spot, but feel free to roam as far and wide as you like and sketch anything you damn well please!

Please bring your own sketchbooks and pens/pencils.

Every week we will choose a location around the magnificent city of London and draw people, buildings, pigeons, bins, anything you want....

No payment, no pressure, no need to sign up, just show up and draw for a couple of hours. All levels, abilities and professions welcome, bring a friend!

Zero pressure to interact, network, impress in any way, this is just a way to get out and about and appreciate the joy of urban sketching and all the weird and wonderful creatures that inhabit this thriving metropolis.

I am a storyboard artist working in animation and I am happy to discuss sketching techniques or give feedback on any work but this is by no means an exclusive event for artists, all are welcome :)

Everyone is welcome. We aim to provide a friendly, inclusive and respectful space to sketch, learn and meet others.
By attending, you agree to:

• Treat all attendees, venue staff and members of the public with courtesy and respect.
• Not engage in harassment, discrimination, bullying, hate speech, intimidation, unwanted sexual attention, aggressive behaviour, or any conduct that makes another person feel unsafe or unwelcome.
• Respect personal boundaries, consent, privacy and the venue’s rules.
• Follow reasonable safety instructions from the organiser and venue staff.
• Take reasonable care of your own belongings, equipment and personal safety.
• Raise concerns with the organiser promptly, so that they can be addressed where reasonably possible.

The organiser may ask anyone who breaches this code to stop the behaviour, leave the event, or be excluded from future meetups. Serious threats, violence or unlawful conduct may be reported to venue security or the police
