Open Project Night with Impact Hub Houston and Sketch City

Impact Hub Houston and Sketch City invite you to participate in this "Open Project Night" (#OPN), highlighting projects aligned with the Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Let's connect and collaborate (virtually) with passionate people who are working on projects, ventures, and collaborations to improve the resilience and quality of life in Houston. If you have an idea, are working on something, or are looking for ways to collaborate with people who are doing work at the intersection of innovation and impact this event is for you! The event requires both a mixture of presenters and people from the community to support, listen, and collaborate with the presenters. EVENT SCHEDULE: 4-5:30PM 4:00-4:10pm Introductions 4:10-4:25pm Guest Presentations + Q&A 4:25-4:40pm Virtual Breakout Rooms 4:40-4:50pm Report Back 4:50pm-5pm Open Pitch: Max of 2 mins each answer the following questions: Brief personal introduction + What is your project? What stage are you currently at? What are your next series of steps? Every month, we kick off the session with special subject matter experts on the featured SDGs. After the presenters finish, the floor is open for all attendees to present their own ideas and projects, per our usual format! *GUEST SPEAKERS:* - TBA *SCHEDULE:* - 6:00-6:30pm Meet + greet ; drink + light snacks - 6:30-7:00pm Project presentations – maximum of 2:30 minutes per project and each project leader must answer the following questions: - Brief personal introduction + What is your project? - What stage are you currently at? - What are your next series of steps? - What are you currently looking for in the way of talent/skills from the community? - 7:00pm-8pm Presenters breakout throughout the room and the community comes around their projects during…drum roll… Open Project Time! PARKING INFORMATION: -Metered parking is available in the surrounding areas and is free stating at 6PM. Surface lots are also available within one block from the Amegy Building, on Fannin Street and Travis Street. If you work in midtown or downtown, we encourage you to take the MetroRail and hop off at the Downton Transit stop which is at the intersection of Main and St. Joseph's.
