About us
I started this group because I believe that anyone can learn to draw if they just give themselves the permission to start. If you have always wanted to pick up a pencil but felt intimidated or didn't know where to begin, this is a safe, judgment-free space to find your footing. There is no pressure here to be talented or to produce a masterpiece; the goal is simply to get together, enjoy the process, and see what happens when we put graphite to paper.
We keep things very simple and low-stress. We will meet up, find a comfortable spot to sit, and spend some time sketching whatever is in front of us, whether that is a coffee cup, a tree, or just some shapes. It is much easier to practice when you are surrounded by other people who are also just learning the ropes.
