We're about 1800 + people carving moments into friendships!
Join in day and overnight trips and Meet'n Greet socials. Many events posted each year (in a regular year) It's free to join in on day trips unless a bus is included.
We are the Ski Calgary Group (SCG) (formerly known as the Stampede City Ski (and Snowboard) Club celebrating our 57th anniversary and our 12th year on M-Up! Our volunteer Executive has a plan for this season!

We are totally volunteer-powered (remember to thank our volunteers) Events are posted as often as people like you host and help out! Being a volunteer is an easy way to connect with people - be a Meet n Greeter, host an event, help someone new to the sport, host an event, videography or help out on the Executive.
It is a curious dynamic that giving to a group becomes more important than what you get out of it. Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy and promotes life satisfaction!

We are SO EXCITED to announce another Ski Club Social Event:
“You Actually Wore That?”
It’s time to dust off the fashion choices that should have stayed in the past. This is your chance to proudly resurrect the questionable, the mismatched, and the outfits that once made you say, “Seemed like a good idea at the time.”
Think bold. Think brave. Think absolutely no shame:
Loud 80s prints
Shoulder pads that defy logic
Jeans, blazer, band tee, and headband—all at once
That ironic t-shirt you wore exactly one time
The goal is simple: have fun with it. The worse the outfit, the better the story. Come dressed to make people laugh, cringe, and confidently ask,
“You actually wore that?”
You do NOT need to be a Calgary Ski Group Member to attend, but fair warning after having this much fun you won’t want to miss being a part of our club.

Each participant gets 30 seconds to explain their outfit—truth optional. The group will vote on:

Photo Booth
Strike a pose solo or with friends. Proof will exist. There’s no escaping it.
Bonus Trivia Game
A light, fun trivia game to keep the laughs going and the competition friendly.
This night is about not taking yourself too seriously, having a great time with the club, and creating memories you’ll be laughing about long after the outfits are packed away again.
Dress bold. Dress badly. Just don’t hold back.
