Stratton Mountain!

I am planning a weekend at Stratton Jan. 24-26. I will be driving up on the 24th and staying at a hotel about 9 miles from the mountain. This is what I am planning for the weekend and would love to have some friends join me!

• Friday, Jan. 26, meet at 7 p.m. for dinner/drinks/apps
• Saturday, Jan. 27, meet at Stratton at 8:30 a.m.
• Meet for lunch
• Après Ski location TBD
• Dinner TBD
• Sunday, Jan. 27, meet at Stratton at 8:30 a.m.
• Ski until early afternoon

Join for one day, join for the whole weekend - whatever works for you!

I am staying at Sutton's Place one town over and I do have space for two women (each will get a twin bed). The cost is $110 per person for the weekend. Nothing fancy! If you would like to bunk with me, please reach out to me directly via Meetup. Venmo payment will reserve your spot.

Everyone else - if you want to do a weekend and need a room, you will have to make your own hotel reservations! Feel free to post here if you want to try and find a roommate connection.

Note that I am in intermediate skier and will lead folks at this skill level. Beginners are welcome to join but will need to ski at their ski level and lessons are recommended. As noted, we will have opportunities to meet up for lunch and après ski, so every if we ski in separate groups, we will still have time for socializing!

Also, there will be no carpool as I am not going directly back to Hampton after this event.

Ski Safety Tips

1. Always stay in control and be able to stop or avoid other people or objects.
2. People ahead of you have the right of way. It’s your responsibility to avoid them.
3. Don’t stop where you obstruct a trail or aren’t visible from above.
4. Whenever starting downhill or merging into a trail, look uphill and yield to others.
5. Always use devices to help prevent runaway equipment.
6. Observe all posted signs and warnings. Keep off closed trails and out of closed areas.
7. Prior to using any lift, you must have the knowledge and ability to load, ride, and unload safely.
