Hike in Marsh Creek State Park

Due to the excessive heat advisory for Sun June 21, the hike may be shorten to 5 miles.

>>> Due to the great abundance of rain that we have been experiencing on Saturdays, the inclement weather has rolled over the outdoor pickleball classes that I teach on Saturday mornings 3x!!! The last rainfall on Sat June 14 bumped my class again! To avoid any further date changes for the hike, I am moving the hike to Sunday, June 22 for hopefully the last time. My apologies for all the date changes. Let’s hope for NO rain and a great hike!!

Calling all hikers! Join KOPSC for an 8-mile morning hike through Marsh Creek State Park. Enjoy scenic views of the 535-acre lake, creek, fields, woods, old structures, and a unique quarry. With 19.5 miles of trails across 1,784 acres, you might even spot some wildlife! First-time visitors often say it feels like the Finger Lakes!

When: 8:45 AM, Sunday, June 22nd
(Rain date: Sunday, June 29th)

Where: Marsh Creek State Park – West Launch
Chalfont Road Parking Lot (Use this GPS link or see directions below)

Deadline: 12:00 PM Noon, Saturday, June 21
Limit: 12 people

Directions:
· Drive to 143-199 Chalfont Road, Glenmoore, PA
· Continue almost to the END of the road; the parking lot (about 20 spaces) will be on your right.
· Overflow parking is along the road further back

Please arrive by 8:45 AM for parking, prep, and signing the release form. The hike begins promptly at 9:00 AM. Terrain is easy to moderate for an enjoyable experience.
Note: There will be an opportunity for hikers to stop around the 5-mile mark.
Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for late spring weather. Bring water and snacks; sunblock and bug spray are optional. Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome!
