What we're about

Hi and welcome, new friend! Thanks for joining our group. Looking forward to seeing you at one of the 24+ hours of events we host each month.

Here are some things you should know.

WHO WE ARE

Skilled Not Ill brings positive people together in lighthearted, fun-first events to teach practical, simple, and easy-to-use mental health skills.

WHAT WE DO

We host in-person events in Philadelphia.

Our main recurring event called 'Skill & Chill' is a casual 1-hour hangout/micro-workshop where we teach 1 mental health skill to a group of 3-10 people. We follow the same structured format in each session with different skills each week.

In addition to Skill & Chill, we curate different "wildcard" activities each week, like stand-up comedy, re-purposed crafts, and competitive games. We host parties and organize group volunteer outings, too. Click here (http://www.skillednotill.com/events) for more.

WHAT WE DON'T DO

We're here to make you laugh, not bum you out. In fact, super serious topics are strictly forbidden. Everything we do is kept light, positive, and forward-focused. We also do not provide therapy, counseling, psychiatry, support groups, or any other form of clinical mental health services.

You'll fit right in: Everyone is welcome. Whether you have a diagnosis or you're just having a tough time lately, our recurring meetups are just what you need to boost your mood.

Disclaimer: These events may be a helpful addition to but are not intended to be a replacement for professional mental health services, such as counseling/talk therapy or psychiatry. If you are in crisis or are feeling unstable, please contact a licensed mental health professional and do not RSVP until you are ready for social events such as these. Thank you in advance for putting your health and safety first.

Questions? Check out our website at http://www.skillednotill.com and feel free to email meetup@skillednotill.com.

WE ARE ROOTING FOR YOU.
