Belfast Winds Aloft: Kite Flying Collective

Join us for an afternoon of kite flying at Belfast Winds Aloft, our regular gathering for anyone who loves getting outside with a kite. Whether you've been flying kites since you were a kid or you're picking one up for the first time, this is a casual, no-pressure hangout where we share the experience of flying together. You'll find folks from all levels here—some of us are precision flyers working on tricks, others just want to relax and watch their kite dance in the wind. It's honestly as simple as it sounds: we meet up, we fly, we chat, and we enjoy the day.

What to expect: we'll gather at our usual spot in Belfast where we typically get decent wind. Bring your own kite if you have one, or let us know beforehand if you'd like to borrow one. We'll be out there for a few hours, so dress for the weather and maybe bring something to drink. There's no schedule or formal program—it's all about doing your own thing while being part of a community that gets it. New people are always welcome, and regular flyers love helping beginners get their kites up in the air.
