Hike to Stewart Canyon

Join us in a day hike around Lake Minnewanka and then up towards Stewart Canyon along the Cascade River to a pleasant lunch spot beside the river. The hike is about 7 km return with under 100m of elevation gain . Bring your lunch!

Requirements:

It is a requirement to read the following trip posting carefully and to make the proper and responsible preparations.

Required Gear: 1 to 2 litres of water, hiking boots or hiking footwear, hat, a synthetic layering clothing system including rain gear and insulating layers, medications.

Strongly Recommended Gear: Personal first aid kit, bear spray.

Optional Gear: Communications devices (there will be no cell phone coverage at this location), lunch/snack, map of the trail
