Join the SLC Beehive UAV/Drone Collective for our September meetup — Beehive After Dark — a night where drones reveal what the human eye can’t see.

This isn’t a formal show — it’s a community gathering. Bring your drone (with LEDs, spotlights, or strobes) and fly safely alongside other pilots, or come watch and experience what drones can do at night.

🔥 What to Expect

✨ Thermal Vision Live — step in front of the thermal camera and see yourself glow in infrared.
✨ Search & Rescue Simulation — watch drones locate a hidden “lost hiker.”
✨ Thermal Hide & Seek — take turns using thermal vision to find hidden heat sources in the park.
✨ Open Night Flying Session — pilots fly their own drones lit with LEDs & strobes.
✨ Drone Trivia + Giveaways — fun quiz with small prizes (stickers, accessories, gift cards).
✨ Community Connection — introductions, networking, and a glowing group photo.

⚖️ Safety & Legal Notes
• FAA night rules apply: anti-collision lighting required (visible 3 miles).
• Recreational pilots: TRUST + registration for drones >250g.
• Part 107 pilots: standard night operations compliance.
• Liberty Park is Class G airspace (uncontrolled), but LAANC check recommended.
• No flights over crowds, roads, or private homes.
👉 All pilots must attend the 7:15 PM safety briefing before flying.
