The Art of Noticing: Photography as Mindfulness
Details
Mindfulness practice helps reduce stress, quiet the mind, and help us appreciate our everyday life.
Photography can be a powerful way to practice this. It encourages us to shift how we see; instead of rushing around, caught up in our thoughts, we slow down to notice the curve of a branch, the patterns in a flight of stairs, the way light plays with shadow.
On this walk, we’ll explore photography as a simple mindfulness practice, using our cameras or phones to observe the world from a different perspective. No photography experience needed, just an open and curious mind.
This is a Bring Your Own Camera event. You can use the camera on your phone, or you're welcome to bring any other type of camera you like.
Also, this is weather dependent. Since this is Utah, odds are it'll be dry enough to walk, but if it's actively raining, we'll reschedule to another day. Keep an eye on the weather and the announcements here for updates.
