The Living Room is a free workshop series for people who want to live with more clarity, compassion, and calm.

Each session explores a different theme related to stress, boundaries, fear, grief, or emotional regulation, with tools you can actually use in your real life. These are live, experiential workshops on Zoom where we slow down, reflect, and reconnect with ourselves in a safe and grounded space.

About this session: Calming the Body in Times of Stress

When stress or anxiety shows up, it often feels like it’s happening automatically in the body; tight muscles, shallow breath, a nervous system that won’t settle.

This 60-minute workshop offers a grounded, compassionate look at how the nervous system responds to stress, and how breath can be used as a simple, reliable way to support regulation when things feel activated.

We’ll explore why breathing works, how different breathing patterns affect the body, and practice a few techniques you can use in real-life moments of stress or anxiety.

Expect a short teaching, several guided breath practices, and space to notice what feels supportive for you.

Sharing is optional. Cameras-on is encouraged. Messiness is welcome.

You’ll leave with:
✅ A clearer understanding of how stress and anxiety show up in the body
✅ Four practical breathing tools for calming your nervous system
✅ More confidence in your ability to support yourself when stress arises

This session is part of a broader Living Room series on fear and anxiety, which includes upcoming workshops on stress, control, uncertainty, and more, as well as a deeper dive into fear of flying, leading to the launch of my new course, Ready to Fly.
