Details

Our January Meetup will be a remote gathering; the Zoom link will be posted the week of the event.

In this meeting, we will hear 5-7 minute lightning talks from our SLC RUG community members. From successes to failures and from beginner to advanced, we'll hear about the R experiences from a variety of users.

  • Making slides and handouts using Quarto (Greg Snow)
  • What to do with R when you don't have any data: Topic modeling and LDA for research on concepts that are new to you! (Jake Jarrard)
  • Using zyBooks to teach R programming (Joe Faith)
  • shinyexperiments: Supercharge tidymodels with Shiny (Parker Barnes)
  • Estimating the cost of diabetes using R (Kyle Kole)
  • Displaying wastewater surveillance data with Shiny (Kerry Regan)
