About us
We are the local R user group for Salt Lake City, UT. R is a free software environment for statistical computing and graphics. Our goal is to support and share R experience and knowledge among its users in the SLC and University of Utah community. Me, Myself & Claude: Part 2 - Building for Others
·OnlineOnlineOur June Meetup will be a remote gathering; the Zoom link will be posted the week before the event.
From our speaker:
In 2025, I shared the concept of "vibe engineering," using Claude Code as a force multiplier for growth and learning as a solo R developer and consultant. Nearly a year later, the vibes have grown up. This session picks up where we left off: what happens when AI-assisted development moves from your own IDE into the systems you build for others? I'll share how my workflow has evolved into a framework for helping clients (nonprofits, small firms, and mission-driven organizations) operationalize AI in ways that are right-sized, values-aligned, and built for real humans to actually use. We'll also take a look at {counselor}, a new R package that uses voice AI to keep humans meaningfully in the loop during AI-assisted development.29 attendees
