GIL Liberation for fun and profit

SLCPython typically meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 5:55pm.

Our venue as of November 2025 is floating between SLC County Libraries. this month will be in Bingham Creek.

For this meetup we're going deep into python fundamentals in an accessible way for everyone. We'll be crafting a web scraper by leveraging multiprocessing and freeing ourselves from the global interpreter lock (GIL).
You're going to want to bring your laptop for this one, as we will be posting a GitHub link to the presentation for you to continue at home.

While we can't serve pizza for this event we do intend to have raffle prizes available.
