Maureen has allowed me the opportunity to help this group become more actively involved in bringing their ideas to fruition.

I'd like to discuss with any of you, your ideas on how this group will be most beneficial to you. I recently moved back to Utah. I have been in the commercial and government loan/bond brokering business for almost 30 years. Over the past few years, I have taken a more serious interest in venture capital, seed and angel funding.

My present thinking, we could have a weekly meetup at a local bar. I recognize given the predominant faith in the area, this might dissuade some from attending. I grew up in that faith and understand. However, I also think we could have Tuesday and Thursday 'pitch' meetings, wherein 10-15 individuals could present their ideas (protected with non-disclosure and non-circumvent agreements). I am not opposed to other investors showing up, but I won't actively seek them out as I want to find some incredibly lucrative projects to invest in. In the past, I have overlooked some pretty big ones, and kick myself for doing so.

If it would be beneficial to have a weekly mid-week (Wednesday) luncheon, wherein 50 or so people show up for a free lunch, while you bounce ideas off of each other, I would love to explore that with you.

As far as the weekly meetup at a bar, I honestly have no idea which places are good anymore, this whole Wasatch Front looks like an entirely different world than I remember.

Please bring your suggestions, I will take notes and bounce further ideas off of those who do, via email. We will make these meetups/meetings regular.

Thank you!
