Description:
Join us for a wonderful hike in Half Moon Bay. Cowell-Purisima Trail is a 3.6-mile gently graded path that winds along bluffs where farmland meets the Pacific Ocean. This area contains both beach and coastal scrub ecosystems. Keep your eyes open for harbor seals, pelicans, hawks and wildflowers along your way.
Level: Easy
Total Distance: 7 miles in-and-out
Hiking Time: 2-3 hours
Elevation Change: 400 feet
What to Bring: 1 l water, food/snacks (for lunch break)
Official Trail Use: Dogs are not allowed on the trails we are using
Facilities: bathrooms at trailhead/parking lot

Parking: Parking lot close to 17500 Cabrillo Hwy S, Half Moon Bay
Attention: This is the 1st parking lot when coming from the north of Half Moon Bay. The Parking spot is little - so you might want to do street parking at HW1.

Warning:
If you have prior medical condition or a family history of illnesses pertaining to heart, lungs, brain, etc. that can be aggravated by heat and physical exertion, this is not the hike for you.
