Scuba Dive and Snorkeling with Family at Catalina Casino Point(Nov 14, 2015)

Let's go Dive & Snorkeling at Casino Point. Bring Family. I'll be bringing my Nephew who just got OW Certified and the rest of the family for Snorkeling. Easy dives. Great for Beginners. I can guide divers to Su Jac, Glass Bottom Boat and Swimming platform. Hope we can see Giant Sea Bass.

Book here: catalina express.com $37.25 one way. Pick Long Beach Port. Book your tickets early. I learned my lesson, waited last minute then all tickets were sold for saturday. I couldn't go and dive with friends.

Time: Ferry leaves at 6:15 am. So be here at 5:30 am. Let's all book 6:15 am then come back at 3:45 pm.

What to Bring: Bring all your dive gear including weights. If you don't want to bring tanks you can rent tanks at the casino point. YOU can rent a complete gear at casino point if you want to but I highly suggest bring your own. I am renting tank there. They have aluminum 80s and steel tanks as well.

Magnificent is a word that comes to mind. A beautiful, magical kelp forest right in front of you teaming with life. If you are a camera buff, this is the place for you. The visibility ranges from 15 feet to about 100 feet depending on the time of year, but has much to offer from macro subjects Like Hermit Crabs and Nudibranchs to 300 pound Black Sea Bass.

Most of the life is fairly approachable with even some of the locals swimming right up to you to check you out! On any given dive, you can see Bat Rays,

Kelp Fish, Horn Sharks, Octopus, Garibaldi, Kelp Bass, Opal Eye, Sea Urchin, Sheephead, Scallops, Wrasse, Senoritas, Spiny Lobster, Treefish,, Sea Cucumber, and much more if you take a flashlight and explore all the nooks and crannies.
