Let’s walk the Sand Spit at low(ish) tide. It gets dark early so we’re starting at 1:30. If you’ve never been here - there are restrooms at the parking area. There is a downhill portion at the begining of the walk and then we walk up the beach as far as we like and then turn around, just know you need to do the uphill on the return in order to get back to your vehicle. There is no shade so bring a hat, sunscreen, and water. Hopefully we will see lots of birds and other wildlife on this mostly empty beach. We will not walk all the way to the Rock - that is 8 miles round trip. We can do that if you all want to at a later date when we have plenty of time and light.
