Hello! What's up with this hiking group name?
My "fur baby", JoJo, is an elderly lab / chow mix - we love to hike but her hikes have become quite a bit slower. I think the pinnacle ( pun intended ) of her hiking days was making it to the summit of Mt. Elbert in CO ( 14.500 feet ) in the summer of '23 - it's been downhill ( pun intended again ) ever since :( Sooo... JoJo will be setting a slow pace for our Meetup hikes. If you're looking for a leisurely pace with frequent stops, this is your group! The hikes will actually be slow enough to more thoroughly enjoy the beauty of the natural surroundings, plus, there'll be more opportunities to socialize with the people you're hiking with!
Me and JoJo love hiking and have hiked everything from the "Taco Deli Greenbelt" in Austin to many trails and mountains of CO, NM and AZ.
This group won't strictly be about hiking. Let's meet for other social activities as well. I'm thinking camping trips, breweries, wineries, etc!
