Let's get remembered/imagined sketch on! As a group, we sketch a lot around SLO... but how well do we really know this town from memory? What landmarks stand out to you? How might you navigate in your mind or share what makes it special with others? - This Sunday, let's meet up to create our own Memory Maps of SLO (or your surrounding city).

Note: April 5 is Easter Sunday but places will be open and we're kinda like family by now aren't we? Let's meet at 2 - giving plenty of time for other Easter-releted morning or evening activities.

Fine Print:
As usual, we'll do a quick 'meet n greet' to get to know each other (if you're new or catch or for the regulars) for a few mins. Then break into our main sketching activity - making sure to leave time at the end for a group share out.

Parking Info:
Free parking out front.

More Fine Print:
Typically we can get two to three sketches in per event. Plan for about 25-40 mins per session. This gives us the ability to draw the same space from different angles or pick up and move to another nearby spot to keep things fresh and interesting. After each sketch session, we'll get back together as a group to share and discuss what we created.

Things to consider before joining session:

  • Skill level: All ages and abilities welcome. No sketching experience needed. This is a non-judgemental supportive environment that encourages you to express yourself however you want. If you have any mobility considerations please let me know so we can factor that into the route/destination.
  • Supplies: Be sure to bring a sketchbook and something to draw with. I'll have some extra pens and watercolor kits if anyone wants to experiment or forgets something.
  • Questions & RSVP: Reach out so I can answer them. If you can't make it, be sure to update your reservation in advance so I have a good idea of final head count for planning purposes.
