Let's get our (people) sketch on! Normally held on the last Sunday of the month, but with April in the rear-view mirror, let's kick May off sketching our favorite subject - each other!

Not only are people essential for scale in your sketches, but drawing the person across from you is also a great way to get to know them (or perhaps yourself) better through the process.

If you're new to drawing portraits don't worry, we'll warm up with some fun exercises to get the hands loose and creative juices flowing.

Free parking on site. Meet inside at the high top tables either across from just past the bar.

Fine Print:
As usual, we'll do a quick 'meet n greet' to get to know each other (if you're new or catch or for the regulars) for a few mins. We'll start with a few short warm up exercises to get the ball rolling, then move into our two longer sessions.

Typically we can get two to three sketches in per event. Plan for about 25-40 mins per session. This gives us the ability to draw the same space from different angles or pick up and move to another nearby spot to keep things fresh and interesting. After each sketch session, we'll get back together as a group to share and discuss what we created.

Things to consider before joining session:

  • Skill level: All ages and abilities welcome. No sketching experience needed. This is a non-judgemental supportive environment that encourages you to express yourself however you want. If you have any mobility considerations please let me know so we can factor that into the route/destination.
  • Supplies: Be sure to bring a sketchbook and something to draw with.
  • Sitting & Weather: We'll be inside for this one so we'll be good.
  • Questions & RSVP: Reach out so we can answer them. If you can't make it, be sure to update your reservation in advance so we have a good idea of final head count for planning / seating purposes.
