CCSPA Presents: Adventures with Nature: Guided Hike at Los Osos Oaks
https://centralcoastparks.org/awn/

Friday, May 15th, 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Step into a thriving community at the Los Osos Oaks State Natural Preserve.
Join State Park Interpreter Bre for a guided 1-mile walk on Friday, May 15, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, and discover how coast live oaks are far more than just trees—they’re the foundation of an entire ecosystem. From lichens and insects, to birds, plants and mammals, these oaks support a rich network of life, each species playing a role in a thriving natural community. Along the way, we’ll explore how these relationships work, why they matter, and how this unique habitat continues to flourish along California’s coast.

Meeting site: Meet at the parking lot for Los Osos Oaks State Natural Reserve.

Materials: Wear comfortable shoes and long pants, as poison oak is an important species of the community.
Rain will cancel this program.
