We are gonna have our first meetup on Wednesday, February 18th at 6.30PM at Celtra d.o.o. (Kongresni trg 3), in Ljubljana.
We'll have a time for a quick introduction, and then we will continue with two brilliant, talented speakers, hopefully giving us an inspiring ideas on how to successfully master CSS.
Mato Žgajner, "You're not abusing SASS enough"
CSS preprocessors are becoming more and more powerful, allowing people to use them for increasingly sillier stuff like implementing sort algorithms and generating JSON. Don't stop at simple mixins and nested selectors, there are so many other cool (and actually useful!) things you can do with SASS. This talk will tell you about a few of them.
Primož Cigler, "Stripping down your CSS"
CSS frameworks like Bootstrap can dramatically speed-up prototyping and frontend development. But at the same time, they introduce bloated CSS codebase at the very beginning. Luckily, we have automated tools which will help us solve these issues. This talk will be about UnCSS project - when to use it, how to use it and real-world examples.
