Slovenia Games Gathering

We have partnered up with the good folks organizing Game Gang to host a small Slovenia Games conference at their show on Saturday, April 1st.

TL;DR: come to the Game Gang show (buying the regular ticket), be there for talks between 11 and 13 and join game devs for free drinks at a nearby bar (invite only, mark "Attending" here on Meetup or use this Google Form: https://forms.gle/oxeuejMetzVe9Kpw9)

Game Design Talk: "How we do games in Outfit7"
Speaker: Rok Mioč, Game Designer at Outfit7
Get an inside look at the game development process in Outfit7. Rok will present their unique approach to deciding what game to make, pre-production process, creating the game itself and deciding when and how to launch it and keep it alive.

Tech Talk: "Avoidance in My Talking Tom Friends"
Speaker: Jon Premik, Director of Engineering at Outfit7
Jon Premik will talk about avoidance mechanics in the popular mobile game "My Talking Tom Friends" and delve into the technical aspects of how these mechanics are implemented and optimized for performance on mobile devices.

Fireside chat: "The State of Steam: How To Make it with Premium Games 2023 Edition"
Speakers:
Marko Grgurovič from Triternion with their game Mordhau and
Nino Rajačić from Foxy Voxel with their game Going Medieval
They'll share how to sell premium games these days, what works and what doesn't and what to watch out for.

Board Game Talk: "Eldfall Chronicles: A Tabletop Skirmish Game from Slovenia "
Speaker: Žiga Gantar, Founder and Lead Designer
Eldfall Chronicles started as a Kickstarted campaign and grew into a full fledged fantasy and RPG-inspired tabletop skirmish game with collectible miniatures. Žiga and the team will share a bit of history, design decisions and experiences from walking this path.

After the talks at 13:00, you're invited for drinks and catching up at Tektonik Pivovarna at Likozarjeva ulica 1 (accross the street). It's a closed event, grab your free drinks but sign up for it either here on Meetup or this Google form.
