Sauntering Chollas Lake Park and Gloria's Mesa

Let's take a walk around the lake at Chollas Lake Park by College Grove. The lake is encircled by a flat, well-maintained, dirt trail shaded by trees nearly all the way around. The lake attracts a variety of water birds - ducks, geese, sea gulls. It's a peaceful little oasis of nature in the city.

Let's start walking at 8:00. Park in the upper parking lot on Gloria's Mesa at the west end of the lake. The parking lot's address is 5997 College Grove Dr, San Diego, CA 92115. (See map and photo below. FYI parking is a bit tight because city employees are temporarily using part of the lot.) We'll meet by the playground then walk down to the lake and circle it 2 or 3 times to get about 3 miles in an hour or so.
