Sheep River Bike Ride 36 Km

Details
Sheep River road bike ride.
Cycling the Sheep River Valley in Kananaskis Country is an easy day trip from Calgary and a great biking adventure. It’s only a 45-minute drive to the town of Turner Valley (renamed Diamond Valley) south of Calgary, the starting point for an exceptionally scenic bike ride through to Sheep River Falls.
When cars aren’t permitted to drive on the last 18 km (one way) of the road. I was there in the fall when the valley was ablaze with color.
We will start from the winter gate at Sandy McNabb campground cross point. The road is fully paved until the end (18Km) where after a break we will return and have a short stop at the Sheep River falls. The total ride is 36 Km (round trip), mostly flat with small up and downs.
Lets meet at 8:00 AM at Somerset LRT parking lot, at the other side of Tim Horton's and Wendy's to arrange carpool.
