Sulphur Mt. Hike and Banff Hot Springs - Slow Pace - LAST MINUTE

Details

Gary and I need to get back into hiking uphill to prepare for backpacking season. We've decided to do a last-minute, slow paced, hike up and down Sulphur Mountain. We'll start at 10:00am in the Hot Springs Parking Lot. Everyone hikes at their own pace. We'll head back down at 12:15pm. If you've made it to the top ahead, have some lunch and relax. If you haven't made it to the top yet, you'll see us as we head back down the same trail. Just turn around and hike back down with us.

No dogs, no children, no guests

Optional trip to the Hot Springs after.

Group size limit: 8

Trail Rating: T2

This trip is strenuous and steep, but has many switchbacks along a well defined trail. There could be snow/ice on the trail so please bring microspikes.

Distance: 5km to the top
Elevation Gain: 700 meters

Please note: If you sign up, but cannot attend, please take yourself off the list. If you cancel after 6pm the night before or don't show up (without a good reason), you will be marked as a "no show". It is inconsiderate to those on the waitlist who don't get to attend and everyone waiting for you at the trailhead.
