Ann & Sandy Cross Thursday Evening Hikes - please note start time

What we'll do
This is an invitation to Slow and Steady members to join us on a
5-8 km Thursday evening Ann and Sandy Cross Hike. My events are relaxed with a slow to slow moderate pace

The hike will start at 6:15 pm to facilitate members after work transportation. We will wait up to 5 minutes at the parking lot in case you get stuck in traffic.

Please note that you will require a parking pass to park there. Please check out the website to purchase an annual pass or to pay online for the evening.

Please note that we all walk at different paces, however we strive to stay together and enjoy each others company. We will walk at a slow to medium pace, and will stop for the occasional "Kodak" moment. Unfortunately this area is not dog-friendly so you cannot bring your pup with you.

Summary:
Event host will pick the route each week dependent on weather and trail conditions so please watch the posting!

Distance: approx. 5-8 km on mostly dirt trails on uneven ground

Elevation Gain: 100 - 200 m elevation gain any given evening

Pace: Relaxed beginner/Intermediate level

What to bring:

• Water

• Raincoat or poncho

• good walking / trekking shoes are a must

• poles might be helpful (I use mine)

• bug spray

• Headlamp

• appropriate layers for the temperature, and snacks if you wish

Waiver: As per the new policy for waivers, the waiver form will be signed at the trailhead. You must sign it before you will be allowed to go on this event. You will also be asked for the name and phone number of an emergency contact. Please come prepared with this information.
