Slow Gatherings Santa Fe

A relaxed morning at the Santa Fe Teahouse on Canyon Road.

We’ll meet at the Teahouse and sit together for tea in either the patio or indoor seating, depending on availability and weather. If you arrive a little early, just let the staff know you’re with “Slow Gatherings” and look for us there.

You’re welcome to bring a book, journal or sketchbook if you’d like, or simply sit and enjoy tea together. Conversation is natural and unforced, and quiet is just as welcome.

We’ll meet for a slow morning walk along the 1.4-mile wetland loop at Santa Fe Canyon Preserve. This is an easy, unhurried way to spend time in nature and be around others without rush or social pressure. We’ll stay on the trail for most of the morning, and afterward anyone who wants to linger is welcome to head a few minutes down the road to Downtown Subscription for optional coffee or tea on the patio.

This is a slow, low-pressure walk designed to support a quieter nervous system state. No rush, no agenda. Just gentle movement and presence in nature. We’ll move slowly through easy trails and shaded paths, allowing space to pause, notice and walk at a natural pace. Silence and conversation are both welcome.

Where to meet
We’ll meet at the Randall Davey Audubon Center main parking lot / entrance area
(Please arrive a few minutes early to gather before we begin.)

The walk
From there, we’ll take a slow loop through the sanctuary trails, staying together loosely while moving at an unhurried pace. We’ll naturally pause a few times along the way.

Where we end
We’ll finish back at the main parking lot / entrance area, where you’re welcome to stay for a moment before heading out.

A slow, unhurried morning. We’ll meet at the entrance and find a comfortable table together, then settle into a quiet morning of reading, tea or coffee and simple presence.

You’re welcome to bring a book, journal or sketchbook. You can also browse something from the bookstore once you arrive. Conversation is always optional and tends to soften naturally as people settle in.

There's no agenda beyond slowing down and sharing space with others in a calm, low-pressure environment. A simple gathering to read, reflect or just be.
