You're invited to test SLOW SANDAL RUN
— a new boutique walking experience launching in Akihabara this autumn.

This is one of our community tester sessions, and we'd love your honest feedback in exchange.

WHAT IS SLOW SANDAL RUN?

There are two Akihabaras. The loud one is everywhere. We show you the other. A four-and-a-half-hour craft and walking experience for small groups (3 to 8). You'll hand-craft your own ZEN sandals — a modern version of Japan's centuries-old waraji — at a small workshop. Cut the leather sole, punch the holes, lace the cord. Then slow-walk or slow-jog 3.5 km through Akihabara's quieter corners: brick arches from 1912, a 1,300-year-old shrine that blesses both electronics workers and anime pilgrims, a 17th-century Confucian temple, and the "Holy Bridge" of 1927 at golden hour. The afternoon ends with a cold craft beer at a local brewery.

THE SCHEDULE (Tuesday, July 21)

15:00 — Meet at Akihabara Station, Electric Town Exit
15:00–16:30 — Craft your ZEN sandals (workshop, AC)
16:30–18:30 — Slow walk/jog through hidden Akihabara
18:30–19:30 — Craft beer & feedback chat 19:30 — Goodbye

THE FEE

¥2,500 — covers the cost of the sandal materials. You'll keep your handmade sandals (typically worth ¥3,500 retail).
Plus a small Japanese souvenir we'll hand you at the end.

In exchange: honest feedback after the experience. We're using these sessions to refine the tour before launching it commercially in autumn.

WHO THIS IS FOR

People who'd rather feel a city than tick it off.Comfortable with walking 3.5 km including some stone stairs. Ages 13+ welcome (under 18 must be accompanied by aparticipating adult).
