Through the collaboration of the GYROS and TeamCBC we invite you to join our ride event from MYSTIC FARM DISTILLERY on Saturday, June 20th.

MYSTIC FARM produces "World-Class" Bourbon on a beautiful 22-acre farm location off Mineral Springs Road in Durham.

The owners are extremely accommodating and are excited about our clubs leaving from their location. We will have access to water and bathroom facilities.
The main entrance to MYSTIC is on Mineral Springs Road. They also have a back entrance off Stallings Road but it's easy to bypass the sign showing that entrance to the distillery. My recommendation is to go to the main entrance which is where we'll be parking anyway as it's a gravel parking lot and close to the road. No worries on space as they have a huge lot to accommodate us.
Upon our return, Mystic is a great place with a mountain flavor to hang out and enjoy the scenic location. Obviously, they have plenty of bourbon, but they also have 8-10 different beer options to choose from. While there, please respect their grounds and facilities.
THE FOLLOWING PACES AND DISTANCES WILL BE OFFERED! CURRENT RIDE LEADERS ARE LISTED AS WELL. THIS YEAR WE HAVE ALSO ADDED A 48 MILE ROUTE.
LONG ROUTE (64 MILES)
8:30 AM 20+mph - Drop Ride (Ash Dickenson)
8:35 AM 18-19-mph - No Drop Ride (Tony Santalucia, Randall Bennett, Penny Langdon & Michael Pastva)
8:40 AM 17-18mph - No Drop Ride
(48 MILE ROUTE)
8:45 AM 17-18mph (Chris Paeplow)
SHORT ROUTE (31 MILES)
8:50 AM 15-17 mph - No Drop Ride (John Whitehouse)
8:55 AM 13-15 mph - No Drop Ride
We'll have a staggered 5-minute start for each group with the first group (A+) leaving at 830am. The A's will follow leaving at 835am and so on and so forth.
NOTE: The bridge on Stallings is closed due to repairs, so each route has been rerouted through a neighborhood to put us back on Stallings. Please travel slowly through this area for safety and to respect the community and the people who live there. It'll allow an easy pace out and a nice cool down back to Mystic.
OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES!
- There is NO fee to join this event
- Check when your group is to start and be sure to arrive early
- There will be representatives at Mystic from the MS SOCIETY. Look for their tent.
- CONTE'S BIKES will have a tent set up for easy adjustments before the ride
- This is a FUN ride celebrating friendships
- RIDER SAFETY is the prime objective. Please ride with that in mind.
- PIZZA after the ride supplied by the GYROS and TeamCBC
- We will have SAG support
- Rest stops are marked on the 3 RWGPS routes
- Last year we had 150+ riders attend. This year we expect that to increase. Mystic has plenty of parking to accommodate everyone.
- In the case of bad weather, the event will be moved to the following Saturday, the 27th
