Welcome to SLOW WALK Twin Cities, an inclusive walking and hiking club for queer folks, BIPOC, and allies of every size, ability, and fitness level.

We meet roughly every other week (or more often) on Saturday mornings at various parks around the Cities and have a laid back, easy walk (usually 2-4 miles at a slow pace) while socializing and enjoying the gorgeous sites.

On Saturday, November 22nd we'll be meeting at Moir Park in Bloomington, MN.

We'll start the walk at 10:30 a.m. and will be maintaining a slow, steady pace for approximately 3 miles along Nine Mile Creek throughout the park. This is a smooth, paved path, with some mild elevation getting from the parking lot to the path itself.

MEETING ADDRESS: 2170 W. 104th St., Bloomington, MN 55431 - this is a smallish parking lot next to the disc golf course, picnic shelters, and playground.

Some things to know:

*There's no entry fee for this park. Please do not leave anything in your car and lock your doors while we're on our walk.

*Plan on meeting at the parking lot - look for the lilac handkerchief tied to my walking stick so we can gather in a group.

*Recommendations: wear appropriate shoes (walking/hiking/running shoes), bring a hat and/or sunglasses, wear sunblock and bug spray (as needed), bring a small towel or handkerchief for sweat, consider bringing a small water bottle, and please bring/wear a mask if this is comfortable for you. ***Dress appropriately for the weather. In colder temps this includes lots of thin layers with a hat, gloves, and thick socks.***

*Pets are welcome if allowed at the location, as long as they remain on a leash or in a stroller. The pet owner is responsible for poop clean-up and disposal. Please ask before allowing your pet to greet others - some folks might not be comfortable with new pets.
