Central Park Loop SLOW WALK
Details
Start where you are. Move as you can. You're in.
SLOW WALK is a walking and hiking group for queer folks, BIPOC, and allies of every size, ability, and fitness level. Our purpose is to get outside, enjoy each other's company, and take in beautiful sights!
Join us for a 3-mile loop around Central Park in Roseville, MN! Stretch goal: there's an additional 1.5 miles through the Harriet Nature Preserve if we're feeling up to it, but we'll decide on the day if we want to go that far. PLEASE NOTE: it might rain on Saturday, so bring an umbrella or rain jacket!
Park at 2540 Lexington Avenue North, Roseville, MN 55113 and look for the person with the lilac handkerchief tied to a walking stick to gather.
We'll start the walk at 10:15 a.m. and will be maintaining a slow, steady pace for approximately 3 miles (possibly up to 4.5 miles if we add in the nature preserve). This is a smooth, paved path.
Some things to know:
*There's no entry fee for this park. Please do not leave anything in your car and lock your doors while we're on our walk.
*Plan on meeting at the parking lot - look for the lilac handkerchief tied to my walking stick so we can gather in a group.
*Dress appropriately for the weather and your comfort.
*Pets are welcome if allowed at the location, as long as they remain on a leash or in a stroller. The pet owner is responsible for poop clean-up and disposal. Please ask before allowing your pet to greet others - some folks might not be comfortable with new pets.
