Eugene Field Park and North Branch Slow Walk

We continue our June walk along the North Branch of the Chicago River. We will meet at the Brown Line Kimball stop.
Then we will walk north on Kimball to Von Steuben HS. Turning west on Carmen, we will follow the river's route, although there is no river trail here. At Central Park we find the east end of the North Branch River Walk and bike trail. There is a pedestrian bridge over the river, and we enter Eugene Field Park. The field house has sweet mosaics and the park is beautiful with wildflowers. The river twists some more along Foster to Pulaski.
Then we will loop back to Kimball.

Obviously, you can take the Brown Line to the Kimball stop.
By bus, the #81 Lawrence or #92 Foster will get you there. We will meet outside.
