Come for the catharsis of a collective scream, stay for the insightful art!
Lincoln Square Pottery Studio - Learning Center hosts its 9th annual Pottery of Protest Exhibition on Saturday, February 28th, 6-9pm. Students immersed themselves in this year’s theme “The Right To Be…” They created wheel thrown and sculptural work that reflects their inner beliefs - The right to be… free, alive, heard, respected, accommodated, and more pieces made of their convictions.
Along with an evening of insightful work, artists have donated hand-made vessels to be part of our Buy-A-Cup Benefit. Each purchased cup can be filled with chef-made Champurrado (a Mexican spiced hot drink) or other libations. The studio will donate funds from the benefit to a local Albany Park (Chicago) grocery collective. This neighborhood group provides food and essentials to residents in need.
Enjoy an evening of insightful conversation with local artists, see passionate work that reflects fraught times and help better this great city with every sip!
