Ronan Park and Chicago River Slow Walk
Details
Continuing our June River Slow Walks:
We will meet on Lawrence Avenue at Ronan Patk on the northwest side of the river. (Across the river you will see the North Branch Pumping Station.)
NOTE: They are constructing a big Thing for the entrance to the park. It might still be fenced off, so we will meet on the side walk, and take side streets to another entrance.
Summer has come to Chicago and wildflowers are blooming along the river!
From Ronan Park to West River Park, we'll hit the North Shore Channel Bike Trail at Legion Park.
As usual we will walk one hour out and one hour back.
Don't forget a sunhat and water bottle.
You can take the #81 Lawrence bus to the Lawrence and Sacramento stop. (Plan ahead - this park's restrooms are usually closed.)
Note: this is River Trail Path, also known as Ronan Park Sculpture Park (NOT River Park which is a few blocks north).
Just search for 2900 W Lawrence in Maps.
