What we’re about

Greetings All .

Welcome to Slow Lane Hiking and Urban Wanderers in Auckland & Beyond.

Slow lane hiking" refers to a more leisurely approach to hiking, where the focus is on enjoying the surroundings and the experience rather than covering ground quickly. It's about taking the time to appreciate nature, stop and take pictures, or simply savor the moment.

Key aspects of slow lane hiking:

  • Focus on experience:
Rather than speed, the emphasis is on enjoying the views, the scenery, and the overall hiking experience.
  • Pace and movement:
Slow lane hiking involves a slower pace, allowing for more breaks and stops on these outdoor activities.
  • Exploration:
It encourages exploration and taking the time to notice details that might be missed in a faster-paced hike.
  • Social interaction:
Slow lane hiking can be a great way to socialize with friends and learn something about the trees, birds and plants along the way.
  • In essence, slow lane hiking is about appreciating the journey and the environment rather than rushing to reach a destination.
