On May 5th, SMAART will hold it's first open house, and pitch competition of the year. Black entrepreneurs will get the opportunity to pitch their business and win free admission into SMAART's first online business course starting May 25th.
During the open house, we will reveal live demos of the SMAART learning platform and business school in partnership with AcademyM.org. There will also be a feature presentation by SMAART board member and health consultant George Korede, MD. Doctor George Korede will explain how the stress of black entrepreneurship can result in more health problems and disease. And will share insights on how to stay healthy while growing a successful business.

Feature Presentation. First 25 mins will be devoted to a short presentation on “ENTREPRENEURSHIP: SUCCESS, STRUGGLE & BLACK HEALTH” by SMAART board member and health consultant George Korede, MD.

SMAART Pitch Competition. 20 mins will be dedicated to entrepreneurs competing in a pitch competition. Each entrepreneur will be given two mins to pitch their business to a panel of judges. The winner will receive free admission into SMAART's online startup business school.

Q&A: Millennia Online School Presentation. 15 min presentation on how SMAART's participation in the Millennia online Accelerator will help black entrepreneurs get the mentorship and skills they need to be successful.

Community dialogue/Networking. Attendees can discuss business topics and network. This event's group discussion will center on the two question; Should black businesses owners pretend to be white-owned to increase business?
