🎙️ Seattle Business Referral presents an exciting and unique way of engaging the business community and bringing local industry leaders, of all backgrounds, together. We harness the wisdom of the crowd to generate high-quality referrals, share ideas, network, and develop. Most small business owners and entrepreneurs are tackling very similar challenges around scale, marketing, finding product-market fit, and acquiring and retaining customers. This group is your forum to connect with others and level up your thinking and ideas through qualified referrals and peer-to-peer learning. We facilitate this discussion as a community service and a passion to build and problem-solve. 💡

🎭 Who Should Join?
Everyone is welcome! 🎉 We encourage visitors to experience our meetings and see if our community is the right fit for them. To formally apply for membership, we ask that you attend at least three meetings. This allows you to get to know our members and experience the value we offer firsthand.

• One Member Per Industry: We generally limit membership to one representative from each industry. This helps prevent direct competition within the group and encourages a wider range of referrals.
• Specialization Within an Industry: We understand that there can be many different specialties within the same industry. To account for this, we do allow more than one member from the same broad industry as long as their areas of focus don't overlap. For example, we could have two insurance agents, one specializing in health insurance and another in life insurance. 🤝
• Diverse Representation: We strive for a diverse group of business owners from both tech and non-tech industries. This creates a richer environment for sharing ideas, networking, and providing referrals.

🤝 Membership and Dues
Guests and visitors are welcome to attend our meetings free of charge! Once you decide to become a member, there is a monthly membership due of $10. This helps us maintain a vibrant and engaged community and supports group activities and events (like providing coffee! ☕).

Why These Rules?
These guidelines are in place to:

• Maximize Referral Opportunities: By limiting direct competition, we increase the likelihood that members will refer business to each other. 📈
• Foster Collaboration: A diverse range of industries creates a more dynamic and supportive environment where members can learn from each other's experiences.
• Ensure Fairness: Our membership structure allows for flexibility while maintaining balance within the group.

Who We Are:

• Founders: Already have an operating business.
• Employees: Looking to start up or offer their services or products to businesses.
• Students: Who want to start up or explore a career path.

⚙️ What to Bring:
An open mind and curious attitude towards learning and offering your insight. None of us have a chip on the shoulder and are humbled by our individual and collective experiences. We don’t judge your idea or approach and try offering a diverse perspective. Do expect to be challenged with stimulating conversations with professionals from a wide background. Share how you can help others and how others can help you. This is a safe space to develop ideas and get feedback from real people! 👍

### 🌱 Design Thinking for Daily Business — Kickoff Workshop 2026

In our first session of the year, we’ll slow down and return to the beginning:

• empathy for yourself (what energizes you, what you want to create this year)
• empathy for your customer (who you’re designing for, and what they truly need)

This is a beginner-friendly, low-pressure workshop — a chance to tick something important off your to-do list:
✔ reconnect with your passions
✔ walk your idea one step closer to real people
✔ start 2026 with clarity instead of noise

This workshop is part of the ThriveHub Foundation series we began last year —and whether you joined before or this is your first time, you’ll find something new here.

As you see on the pictures, we keep it fun and light, but still get important things done. You will be welcomed by a room of like-minded, supportive peers.

Just one thing - we are all volunteers in ThriveHub and it means a lot for us when you show up and make the most out of the meetups or as life changes, you update your spot when you have to cancel.
