Overview
Discover Shinjuku’s hidden topography in this unique cultural walking tour led by Norihisa Minagawa, president of the Tokyo Suribachi Society.
You’ll trace forgotten springs, covered rivers, and the bowl-shaped “suribachi” landscapes that shaped Kabukicho’s history and culture.
After the walk, join us at the Shinjuku Kabukicho Shunga Exhibition (ticket not included), where Mr. Minagawa will give a special mini-lecture, followed by a short talk by multi-disciplinary artist Vivienne Sato.
✨ A rare opportunity to connect Shinjuku’s landscapes with its art and history.

• The walking tour lasts about 90 minutes with multiple stops.
• Please wear comfortable walking shoes.
• At the after-event venue, each guest is kindly asked to order at least one drink:
・Soft drink: JPY 700
・Alcoholic beverage: JPY 1,000
• Walking tour participation fee will be collected on site.

President of the Tokyo Suribachi Society, architect, and author. Known for introducing the unique “suribachi” bowl-shaped landforms of Tokyo through books and appearances on Tamariclub and Buratamori.
