• What we'll do
For millions of people hard work does not guarantee financial security. For many, poverty is nothing more than an accident of birth. Most people can’t choose interesting careers based on their strengths and interests. And what about people who find themselves doing unpaid work for the greater good of society, like raising children, caring for people who are differently abled and the elderly, amongst others? All of this means that we are not a fair and just society that provides equal opportunity for all. So how can we fix that?

Join us on the 28th February for an interesting discussion with Steven Shafarman on the basic income imperative: for peace, justice, liberty, and personal dignity. Steven is a co-founder of Basic Income Action, a life member of the Basic Income Earth Network and has presented talks at their meetings in Geneva, Dublin and Montreal. He is the author of five books about basic income. For those who would like to read his latest book in preparation for his talk, it is available for purchase at https://www.amazon.com/Basic-Income-Imperative-Justice-Personal-ebook/dp/B075GYKY46
