Smart in the City - FPGA's

Details
I'm delighted to announce Smart in the City it back and in this meetup we will be talking about FPGA's! We'd love for you to join us Wednesday 30th November at 6:30pm for the next event where Garrison have very generously agreed to host the event at their prestigious London office in Waterloo.
I am delighted to confirm we have incredible guest speakers for the evening who will be delivering a variety of insights/ technical presentations focused on innovation, application & development of FPGA technology-they are:
David Bailey the CTO at Garrison will kindly be kick-starting and hosting this event.
Alwyn Elliot (Lead Hardware Engineer), Cristiano Santoni (Lead Product Integration Engineer) & Ed Frosztega (Lead Firmware Engineer) from Garrison
Garrison designs and builds hardware solutions to isolate users from risky web content and provide access between sensitive networks. They design and build their own electronics and use FPGAs to develop "hardsec"-based security controls. The Garrison team will talk about how they provide this security and challenges they've faced including systems design, integrating mobile-grade SoC devices, their complex embedded software stack, and the application of FPGAs to provide extremely robust security at scale.
Adam Taylor- Director of Adiuvo Engineering & Training
Adam is a Professor of Embedded Systems, Engineering leader and world recognised expert in FPGA / System on Chip and Electronic Design. We cannot keep designing FPGA's like it's 1990! He will be a delivering a technical presentation and taking a deep dive into model based FPGA design.
George Dickey - Technology Segment Leader at Arrow Electronics
George Dickey is the Technology Segment Leader at Arrow Electronics for High End Processing.
George has been in the semiconductor and electronics industry for over 25 years. He has held various positions in R&D from individual contributor to CTO, and across ASIC, FPGA, DSP and software design disciplines. He is passionate about using technology to make the world a better place. He will be delivering a technical presentation about Realising AI at the Edge with FPGAs.
Please arrive between 6-6:15pm, the presentations will start at 6:30pm and will include an open Q & A session, following which there will be a good opportunity to grab a drink/nibbles and network amongst the group.
The event will be held at Garrison's office: 99 Waterloo Rd, London SE1 8UL
I really hope you can make it and we look forward to welcoming you :)
